A few quick selections from our (somewhat longer than expected) stay in Cortina.
A few quick selections from our (somewhat longer than expected) stay in Cortina.
I’m going to post here a few photos from our trip to Italy, quick and dirty without full edits. I’ll try to pick just a few of my favorites from each location we visited. To start with, Venice. I’ll update later with descriptions and details.
I had heard that seeing a total solar eclipse was incomparable to a partial solar eclipse. I found it pretty hard to believe that it could be THAT different. I was wrong. More photos and details to come, but I am now firmly in the “get to totality if at all possible” camp.
Photos and drone video are pending from a long weekend in Moab, UT. Stay tuned.
First fresh snow with a drone to check it out, and quite a nice sunset to go with it. I missed the best light, but was pretty happy with the view around Downtown. Didn’t want to fly far as it was getting dark, but with the snow on the ground even in low light things …
Here’s a short practice video, showing a sunny day in September taking a quick cruise around Downtown Lowell. Shot on my DJI Mini 2, edited in Adobe Premiere Rush, which was recently added to the Adobe Photography subscription I already have (and includes some not so bad muzak). Just trying to work out a whole …
We celebrated our seventh anniversary with a long weekend trip to the Catskills, staying in an AirBnB in Jewett, NY. We even brought Whiskey along for the adventure. Although the last two days were pretty rainy, we got to do some hiking, eating, and shot some photos (both on the ground and in the air). …
Caught a quick break in the rain yesterday on our way to Woodstock (to check out the excellent Abandoned Hard Cider) and put the drone in the air for a bit. Got some nice shots of the St. Francis De Sales Church just south of Tannersville. Got a bunch of other shots of the surrounding …
Still getting used to flying this thing, and it’s a bit windy out, but took the drone out for a spin from the roof today. Carefully avoiding the airspace above the canal, which as far as I can tell is managed by the National Park and therefore no-fly. These are as-shot, no post, but look …
This weekend I flew the new drone for the first time. It’s a DJI Mini 2 and it seems great so far. It is quite easy to get started, but I feel like there’s a lot of functionality that I don’t yet know about. Looking forward to exploring more.
