I acknowledge that it’s a nice gesture that you saw something that made you think, “I should share this with Jimbo, he’ll get a kick out of it.” But I assure you that I won’t.
Please continue to send me stuff made by actual human beings, even pointless, stupid shitposts. I will engage and let you know if it made me laugh or that I hated it, whatever. I would love to see that old dude’s bad karaoke version of Modest Mouse. That guy rules. Someone strapped fifty rubber chickens together and ran them over to see what would happen? Sounds dumb and awesome.
But I don’t want to see “Joe Rogan, but he’s a baby” or “Bob Ross boxing Elvis” from the AI slop trough. I’m not even saying that it is impossible for something made with Sora to be funny, or that if you enjoy it, you’re wrong.
I DO think it is morally repugnant to use a machine that was built to regurgitate the sum total of human creativity in the lamest, cringiest “content” conceivable, that has stolen the work and style of real artists and churns out hollow simulacra of it, that is even wearing the faces of the dead in ghoulish desecration of their image and memory, all while boiling the oceans and burning more energy than entire nations.
I mean, you do you. Just leave me out of it.
